Let’s step away from the typical 3rd person Deejay Bio everyone loves to write about themselves. I’m Dj Danny Rockz, New York City born and raised, I grew up always loving and listening to an eclectic mix of music. At 13 I bought a mixer and my first set of turntables then task of perfecting the art of Deejaying began. Deejaying for me began as a hobby, something I always had an interest in then developed a passion for. It wasn’t until college that I moved into deejaying at various bars and lounges throughout New York City. The college scene was a great learning experience for me as a Dj, it made me aware of how much I loved connecting with the crowd and creating a great party atmosphere.
As a Dj I have to put my personal musical preferences behind me, focus on the crowd and setting a good vibe. For the longest time I found myself studying other Dj’s while they would rock crowds of all ages and sizes, I would observe how different generations of people would react to various genres of music. As a result, I am able to play for such diverse crowds and adapt or adjust as needed to deliver a solid performance. As a whole people want to hear good music and as a dj it’s my job to give them a night full of it. I’m not a Dj that will play a whole night of one genre, I like to keep my sets unique and build up my parties into a night full of high energy mixes.
Deejaying for me has become more than a passion, I love it more than I care to admit at times. There is nothing more intense or powerful then watching a room full of people jumping up and down dancing to the music I selected.
