DJ Encore grew up with a passion for music, and as a child he played many instruments and listened to many genres of music. Encore remembers when he was about 9 years old when he attended a private party with his family where they had a deejay, he wanted to hop on the set so bad and play what he grew up listening to at home thinking he can make the whole place come to life. Since that party DJ Encore never gave up his dream, he would practice at home with the records he had from his fathers rock collection to his mothers stash of pop, 80’s, motown, and the ones he would call feel good records. After working hard for the next year or so he was able to purchase an inexpensive set of turntables and would practice every day mashing different types of music together. Whenever he had a chance he would watch and study many of his idols like Jam Master Jay and Jazzy Jeff. Encore then started spinning house parties, as he progressed he joined a mobile deejay company and enjoyed working there because of the all training he received about every type of music from the Big Band Era through todays hits. With all the knowledge that Encore gained he then moved on to local venues, now at age 25 Encore has mastered his craft and now performs in some of the most premier venues around. Encore considers himself to be a request deejay, He says, “As long as you read the crowd instead of your computer screen all night you will rarely get any requests. Any DJ can play the top 40’s... For me its about reading the crowd... I Speak With My Hands therefore the crowd is in sync with what I am doing.” This makes him a master of improvisation, he can accommodate people of any class, race and culture making him a great choice for your next event.
