DJ Bounz caught on to the role of DJ’n rather fast due to his prior experience of producing and engineering. He began his DJ career spinning and mixin’ at local bars and venues around his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. At first what was just a simple hobby slowly climaxed into putting out mixtapes and self promotions. In August 2005 DJ Bounz moved to Austin, Texas. Bounz began developing his DJ skills with constant mixtapes and nightly gigs on Austin’s famous 6th and 5th st. clubs, where he was soon recognized as one of Texas’ premier up and coming DJs. So much, he soon then after joined one of the worlds most respected and elite DJ crews the Bum Squad DJz. In 2008 Bounz earned an afternoon weekend segmant on Corpus Christi hottest hip hop station KNDA 102.9 Da Bomb, where he worked on air as a personality as well as spinning live at club remotes.
