Born in Athens, Greece, DJ Yanni has always had a passion for music from a very young age. At the age of 7 he was given his first drum set which he played day in and day out until he got his hands on his first Michael Jackson record, Right away he traded his beloved drum in set for his first pioneer mixer and an old set of Technics. The rest is history. Beginning his career at only 15 years old, playing at high school dances and pep rallies, DJ Yanni has over ten years of experience in doing what he does best! From House and Hip Hop, to 80’s and Oldies, Yanni does it all. He loves to see people on the dance floor having a good time and letting loose to the music that he loves to play. Yanni believes that in order to be a great DJ you must read the vibe of your crowd. A good mix will always tell a story. A good mix will have a gradual build up and hard break down. A good mix will always have a general theme in terms of genre and will always leave the crowd wanting more. What separates a good DJ from a great DJ is a great one will always play off the crowd's general mood/vibe and use it against them to really spark up the feeling. This is why Yanni loves to spin vocals so much, because if you choose the right vocal track, so much emotion can be invoked!
